On March 11, 2020, Agnes Scott College President Leocadia I. Zak announced the creation of the Presidential COVID-19 Task Force, saying, in part: "Members of this task force are charged with monitoring the information and evaluating the evolving situation based on guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Georgia Department of Public Health, and other health authorities. They are also in contact with other colleges, universities and higher education associations. Based on that collective information, we are exploring alternate modes of delivering services and programs to ensure continuity of operations on campus, in the event that it is necessary."
